3D Systems, headquartered in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is the company that turned stereolithography into an industrial process and today covers nearly every additive technology class. Its product lines include SLA systems (SLA 250 through SLA 7000, Viper, iPro, ProX 800/950, SLA 750), the Figure 4 DLP platform, ProJet MJP MultiJet printers for plastics and wax, gypsum-based ProJet CJP ColorJet printers, laser sintering systems from the Sinterstation through sPro to the SLS 380, the ProX DMP and DMP Flex/Factory metal printers, EXT Titan pellet extruders and NextDent dental printers, plus a range of washing and curing peripherals. Customers come from aerospace, medical and dental, jewelry, foundries and service bureaus.
On the secondary market, SLA machines of the Viper, iPro and ProX 800 generations, ProJet MJP printers (3500, 3600, MJP 2500) and sPro laser sintering systems appear most often. The Sinterstation and sPro families and the consumer-grade Cube and CubePro have been discontinued; their successors are the SLA 750, SLS 380 and DMP Flex 350. The legacy SLA 250 to SLA 7000 are no longer supported by the manufacturer in the usual way, so maintenance typically runs through independent service companies.
When buying a used 3D Systems machine, check laser and optics condition (operating hours, scanner calibration on SLA), print head condition on MJP and CJP, and whether access to the 3D Sprint software transfers with the machine. Materials are largely closed: Accura resins, VisiJet materials and DuraForm powders come from the manufacturer, in some cases in coded cartridges. SLS and DMP systems also require compressed air, nitrogen or argon, and space for powder handling and post-processing. Below you will find the technical data of all 118 3D Systems models in our catalog, and which of them are currently available used.
