3D Systems ProJet MJP 2500W Plus — Technical data

The ProJet MJP 2500W Plus is a wax printer for jewellery production. It builds 100 % wax patterns for conventional lost-wax jewellery casting, covering pre-series, series and one-off pieces. Compared with the base 2500W it added the ZHD mode with 8 µm layers, aimed at fine settings and engravings; in XHD mode with 16 µm layers the printer runs about twice as fast. Build volume is 294 × 211 × 144 mm. 3D Systems no longer actively sells the model; the MJP 300W is regarded as its successor.

Used, the 2500W Plus mainly appeals to jewellers who want to keep their wax workflow. Before buying, check print head condition, print hours and a sample in ZHD mode. It also matters how long wax material and spare parts will remain available for the discontinued model and whether the 3D Sprint software link can be transferred.
