3D Systems ProJet MJP 2500 Plus for Dental — Technical data

The ProJet MJP 2500 Plus for Dental is the dental-lab configuration of the MJP 2500 Plus. The printer deposits light-curing plastic droplet by droplet and supports overhangs with wax that is melted out after printing. Its 294 × 211 × 144 mm build volume produces prosthetic and thermoforming models from VisiJet M2R-TN in large batches; according to the manufacturer, 80 % of the surface lies within ± 50 µm. The material burns out without residue, so casting parts can be built in the same job. Hardware and connection values match the standard 2500 Plus, and it runs on an ordinary single-phase socket.

When buying used, the print head matters most: its running time, defects in test prints and whether the machine stood idle for long periods. Also check that the dental material is still available, how access to 3D Sprint is handled and whether an EasyClean system for wax removal is included.
