3D Systems sPro 60 SD — Technical data

The sPro 60 SD is the simplest version of 3D Systems' compact sPro 60 laser sintering system. It shares laser power (30 W CO₂) and the 381 × 330 × 437 mm build volume with the sPro 60 HD; the difference lies in beam deflection. Instead of the HD's digital ProScan CX scanner, the SD uses analogue scan motors according to Japanese distributor Canon, reaching 5 rather than 6 m/s and 0.9 rather than 1.0 litres per hour. With its 70 W laser and 1.8 l/h, the HD-HS sits in a different performance class. It processes DuraForm polyamides; the line is discontinued.

In daily use the gap between SD and HD is small, while the gap to the HD-HS is clear – the SD suits shops that sinter occasional prototypes without time pressure. Because all three variants look alike, have the rating plate and scanner type confirmed. Also check laser hours, heaters, roller and scanner, a three-phase 240 V / 12.5 kVA supply, and sieving and mixing equipment for powder preparation. Ask service whether a ProScan retrofit is possible.
