3D Systems PSLA 270 — Technical data

The PSLA 270 combines 3D Systems' Figure 4 resins with a larger build area: two 7 W projectors above the vat expose a 242 × 265 mm field at 405 nm with a 90 µm pixel size and 300 mm of build height. Depending on resin, layer thickness ranges from 50 to 150 µm and build rate reaches up to 38 mm per hour. It is intended for functional prototypes, short runs, mould inserts and casting moulds too large for the Figure 4 Standalone. Resin comes from a Material Delivery Module with a 9 kg bottle, a change is said to take under three minutes, and the machine fits through a standard door.

On a used system, check hours and alignment of both projectors, as both must be precisely calibrated to each other. Also assess vat and recoater condition, the age of resin in the 55-litre vat, and the number and contents of MDMs. The 3D Sprint licence and access to 3D Connect should be transferred too.
