3D Systems SLS 380 — Technical data
The SLS 380 is 3D Systems' current laser sintering system for series plastic parts. A water-cooled 100 W CO₂ laser sinters powder in a 381 × 330 × 460 mm build volume at up to 2.7 litres per hour; an eight-zone heater and an infrared camera control the powder bed temperature. It processes PA 12 and PA 11 in several grades, filled polyamides and TPU. The system includes a powder station called the Material Quality Center, which blends fresh and recycled powder and can supply up to four printers. Its predecessor, the ProX SLS 6100, had the same core data.
Used, laser hours, the condition of heaters, roller and IR camera, and powder management are decisive. An SLS 380 without an MQC is of limited use in daily operation, so check what is included. The documented supply is 208 V three-phase – clarify beforehand whether the machine is set up for European grids or needs a transformer. Remaining powder, material licences and 3D Sprint should also be part of the contract.
