3D Systems iPro 8000 — Technical data
The iPro 8000 is the mid-size stereolithography system of the iPro line that 3D Systems introduced in 2008. It works with exactly one exchangeable Resin Delivery Module (RDM), which holds the vat and all resin-wetted parts. Depending on the module, the build volume ranges from 650 × 350 × 300 mm (RDM 650M) to 650 × 750 × 550 mm (RDM 750F), with shallow modules in between for many low parts. Imaging uses a frequency-tripled Nd:YVO₄ solid-state laser with the ProScan system, and the machine runs Accura resins. Unlike the iPro 9000 it has only one build zone – enough for anyone running one resin at a time. The line is discontinued.
When buying used, first establish which RDMs are included, since they set build height and resin volume – an RDM 750F holds 414 litres. Check the age and condition of the resin fill, laser hours, recoater and optics, and whether a spare laser or unloading cart comes with it. As the machine has not been built for years, clarify beforehand who supplies service and lasers and which software is used to prepare build jobs.
