3D Systems ProJet 7000 HD — Technical data

The ProJet 7000 HD is a mid-size SLA system that 3D Systems has offered for many years. It exposes a 380 × 380 × 250 mm build volume with two beam sizes per layer – 75 µm for contours and fine detail, 750 µm for interiors – and achieves an accuracy of 0.025 to 0.05 mm per 25.4 mm. It is used for detailed prototypes, models and investment casting patterns. Resin sits in exchangeable Material Delivery Modules; the smaller ProJet 6000 HD uses the same technology with a 250 mm edge length. A single-phase 750 W supply is enough for installation.

When buying used, ask about laser hours and when the laser was last replaced, have recoater and optics inspected, and clarify which MDMs with which resin are included. Older software documentation still lists Windows XP to 7, which raises questions for IT integration. Since no dedicated brochure is maintained any longer, a service contract and spare parts commitments from the manufacturer are especially important.
