3D Systems MJP 300W — Technical data

The MJP 300W is a 3D Systems MultiJet printer for jewellery and investment casting patterns in pure wax. Printheads deposit build wax and dissolvable support wax in layers of 8 to 25 µm, at up to 2000 × 1800 × 2900 dpi depending on mode; the patterns are then invested and burned out like conventional wax models. The build area is 294 × 211 × 144 mm, and modes range from fast draft printing to the finest QHD setting. Three wax types are available, including flexible Jewel Red for filigree rings and Ruby for stone presetting. The MJP 300W Plus with a larger build plate followed later.

When buying a used unit, the printhead is the main check: failing nozzles show as streaks and missing detail, and replacement is expensive. Ask for a test print and nozzle check. Operating hours, the state of the wax feed, opened wax stock and equipment for support removal also count. The room should stay below 25 °C, otherwise print speed drops.
