3D Systems ProJet MJP 2500 IC — Technical data

The ProJet MJP 2500 IC is the investment-casting version of the MJP 2500 range. It prints burn-out patterns in 100 % wax (VisiJet M2 ICast) that foundries can feed directly into their existing lost-wax process, without injection tooling for the wax patterns. Build volume is 294 × 211 × 144 mm and layer thickness 42 µm; the HDF mode creates a fractal support structure that is easier to remove. 3D Systems targets prototype castings, bridge production and small runs of customised metal parts.

For a used purchase, the condition of the print head should be documented, ideally with recent test prints. Because build and support wax are temperature-sensitive, it is worth checking how remaining material bottles were stored. Also clarify the supply of VSWR removal fluid, whether 3D Sprint and 3D Connect can be transferred, and whether the foundry already has experience with printed patterns.
