The ProJet 3500 HDMax is the top model of the ProJet 3500 plastic MultiJet range. It is the only variant that uses the full 298 × 185 × 203 mm build volume in every print mode, including UHD (29 µm) and XHD (16 µm). It also adds a High Speed (HS) mode with 32 µm layers for faster build jobs, which the 3510 models lack. It prints rigid VisiJet M3 plastics and castable M3 Procast, supported with S300 wax; the five-year print head warranty was standard. Its closest counterpart in the successor range is the MJP 3600 Max. The HDMax is discontinued.

For shops printing whole platforms at high resolution, the HDMax is the most useful variant of the old range. Check print head condition, a full-width nozzle test and service history carefully, since failed nozzles show up immediately in XHD. Allow for the 323 kg weight in transport and installation. As the platform is old, clarify in advance whether M3 materials, spare parts and service are still available and whether ProJet Accelerator runs on the control PC.
