The sPro 140 is a large-format laser sintering system from 3D Systems' sPro line. Its 550 × 550 × 460 mm build volume offers more than twice the volume of the SLS 380 class and suits large housings, air ducts or densely packed series jobs. A 70 W CO₂ laser scans at 10 m/s, and the data sheet states 3.0 litres per hour. Powder is blended and recycled automatically. Listed materials are DuraForm PA, glass-filled GF, impact-resistant EX and mineral-filled HST. The sPro 140 is discontinued; with the same footprint, the sPro 230 offered more build height.

Taking over a used sPro 140 means a machine of over 2.2 t with a 17 kVA three-phase connection at 208 V – grid adaptation, floor load and access must be clarified first. Laser hours, heaters, roller and scanner are decisive for condition. Since the large build volume ties up a lot of powder, also check quantity and age of the powder included. Ask the manufacturer about service and spare parts in advance.
