3D Systems ProJet CJP 860Pro — Technical data

The ProJet CJP 860Pro is the largest model in the ColorJet range. Its 508 × 381 × 229 mm build volume offers about twice the footprint of the 660Pro, suiting large architectural and presentation models or many parts in one job. Five print heads apply CMYK binder at 600 × 540 dpi onto a powder bed; vertical build speed is 5 to 15 mm per hour depending on how full the job is. A faster draft mode is available for monochrome concepts. Parts are then depowdered and infiltrated in a separate cleaning station. 3D Systems has discontinued CJP technology.

Before buying a used 860Pro, check the condition of the print heads, powder circuit and extraction, and ask for a colour test print. Continued supply of VisiJet PXL, binder and spare parts is critical because the range is no longer sold. Given its size (about 1.2 × 1.2 m footprint, 363 kg), include transport and installation in the budget.
