3D Systems ProX SLS 500 — Technical data

The ProX SLS 500 is an older production laser sintering system from 3D Systems. A 100 W CO₂ laser with a digital ProScan DX scanner builds plastic parts in a 381 × 330 × 460 mm volume at 0.08 to 0.15 mm layers, at 2.7 litres per hour according to the data sheet. Powder is processed fully automatically. It processes DuraForm ProX materials such as PA, glass-filled GF, impact-resistant EX BLK and flame-retardant FR1200. The system is discontinued, and information is now only in the manufacturer's support portal.

Used, the ProX SLS 500 is mainly an option if spare parts and service are still available – clarify this before buying. Laser hours and power, the condition of heaters, roller and scanner, and the available powder peripherals are important. At around 1.9 t and with a 208 V three-phase connection, the system also places demands on floor and electrics.
