3D Systems ProJet CPX 3000 Plus — Technical data

The ProJet CPX 3000 Plus arrived at the end of 2010 as a revised wax printer for foundries and jewellery makers. Compared with the earlier models of the Plus line, 3D Systems stated a 60 percent larger build envelope for high-resolution patterns and up to 20 percent more speed. Three modes are available: HD on 298 × 185 × 203 mm at 36 µm, plus UHD at 20 µm and XHD at 16 µm, both on 203 × 178 × 152 mm. It prints wax only (VisiJet CPX200, support wax S200), so patterns can be invested and burned out directly. The platform is discontinued.

The five-year print head warranty offered at the time has long expired on these units, so check head hours and nozzle pattern carefully. The second key question is the supply of CPX200 and S200. A test print of fine jewellery geometry followed by casting helps judge surface and dimensional accuracy. Try the network connection and Windows client with your own PC before the machine is moved.
