3D Systems EXT 1270 Titan Pellet — Technical data
The EXT 1270 Titan Pellet is 3D Systems' largest pellet printer. Its 1270 × 1270 × 1829 mm build volume allows parts of human height, such as foundry patterns, lay-up moulds, fixtures or full-scale prototypes. As on the EXT 1070, the gantry carries up to three heads – pellet extruder, optionally a second pellet or a filament extruder, and an 18,000 rpm milling spindle – so parts can be printed and machined in the same setup. Throughput reaches up to 13.6 kg of pellets per hour, with materials from commodity plastics to fibre-reinforced PEI and PEKK.
A used EXT 1270 needs space and infrastructure: over 3 m per side, around 2.7 t and, according to the data sheet, 208 V three-phase at 100 A. Besides grid adaptation and rigging, check extruder wear, spindle hours, the condition of guides and servos and heating of bed and chamber. Dryer and extraction should be part of the package, as should the slicer software licence.
