3D Systems ProJet HD 3000 — Technical data

The ProJet HD 3000 is a 3D Systems material jetting printer that was marketed as Multi-Jet Modeling (MJM) at the time and is known today as MultiJet Printing. A print head deposits UV-curable plastic (VisiJet EX200, SR200 or HR200) and wax as support material. HD mode offers 298 × 185 × 203 mm at 40 µm layers, UHD mode 127 × 178 × 152 mm at 32 µm. Applications were design models, fit checks and small functional parts. In Europe the printer runs on a 15 A supply via an external transformer. The Plus version added an XHD mode; the ProJet 3500/3510 series came later. The HD 3000 is discontinued.

Used units are often offered cheaply, sometimes together with a finisher oven. The print head is decisive: its condition, failed nozzles and whether a replacement can still be found. The material question is just as important, because without matching VisiJet 200-series cartridges the machine stands still. The client ran on Windows up to XP; test the network connection to a current PC before buying.
