3D Systems LC-3DPrint Box — Technical data

The LC-3DPrint Box is a UV light oven for post-curing printed dental parts. NextDent introduced it in 2016; today 3D Systems offers it alongside the NextDent materials. Twelve UV lamps illuminate the round chamber (Ø 26 cm, 19.5 cm high) from all sides with a spectrum of 300 to 550 nm, so several models, splints or an articulator fit at the same time. Exposure time is adjustable, and no additional nitrogen is needed. The box weighs 22 kg, draws at most 264 W and runs on 110–240 V. 3D Systems lists it as an accessory for the NextDent 5100, Figure 4 Standalone and FabPro 1000.

Used units are often found in a package with a dental printer. Check the condition and age of the lamps, which can be replaced, as well as timer and ventilation. Since the box is intended for NextDent class I and IIa materials, post-curing should be documented in a traceable way; lamps that glow unevenly or are worn put material properties at risk and should be replaced before use.
