3D Systems ProJet 1200 — Technical data
The ProJet 1200 is a micro-SLA desktop printer for very small, fine parts. An LED DLP light source with 56 µm native pixels cures resin in 30 µm layers; the narrow 43 × 27 × 150 mm build volume suits delicate casting patterns and tiny components. Material and resin tray come together in a 30 g cartridge, so no open resin has to be handled. Parts are then post-cured in the built-in UV station. At 9 kg and with a standard mains connection the printer fits on any workbench. The material range includes two castable resins for investment casting and a grey general-purpose resin. The model is discontinued.
When buying used, almost everything depends on the cartridges: are VisiJet FTX cartridges still available, and how old is any remaining stock? Without them the printer cannot be used. In addition, the LED light source and UV station should work, and the 3D Sprint software should run on a current computer.
