EOS: 43 models

EOS, based in Krailling near Munich, develops laser powder bed fusion systems for metals and polymers. The metal line (DMLS) spans the earlier EOSINT M 250 Xtended, M 270 and M 280, the current M 100, M 290, M 300-4, M 400 and M 400-4, and the PRECIOUS M 080 for precious metals. The polymer line covers the compact FORMIGA P 100 and P 110, the mid-size EOSINT P 380/390/395 and P 396, the large-frame EOSINT P 730/760/800, P 770 and P 810, plus newer systems such as the P3 NEXT, P 500 and INTEGRA P 450. Subsidiary AMCM supplies customised metal systems, represented here by the M 290 FLX and M 4K. Peripherals include the IPCM M and IPCM P powder management stations plus unpacking, sieving and mixing stations. Aerospace, medical and dental technology, automotive and tooling are the main application fields.

Pre-owned demand concentrates on the M 290, the FORMIGA P 110 and the P 396, supported by a wide base of qualified parameter sets and service options. The EOSINT generations (M 270, M 280, P 380/390/395, P 730/760/800) are discontinued, succeeded by the M 290, P 396, P 770 and P 810; the FORMIGA P 100 was replaced by the P 110. Older machines keep running, yet spare parts and software maintenance narrow as they age.

Before buying a used EOS system, verify the software licences (EOSPRINT, EOS BUILD, or PSW on older machines) and the enabled material parameter sets: they are bound to the machine and need confirmation for a new operator. Also review laser hours and laser source, the filter unit, optics and protective glass, the recoater blade, the inert gas supply (nitrogen or argon), heater and pyrometer calibration on P-series machines, and the electrical connection requirements.
