EOS EOSINT P 390 — Technical data
The EOSINT P 390 is a plastic laser sintering system in EOS's P 3 series with a build volume of around 340 × 340 × 620 mm. It produces prototypes and series parts in polyamide without support structures and, according to third-party information, also in polystyrene. Exposure runs through a digital IntelliScan 20 scanner, the infrared heating is rated at 3.2 kW and nitrogen comes from a built-in generator. Powder handling can be linked to the IPCM system via exchangeable frames and Multibox. Within the P 3 series, the P 395 followed in 2009 and the P 396 in 2013; the P 390 is discontinued.
Used P 390 machines are usually offered complete with exchangeable frame, chiller and nitrogen generator. Check operating and laser hours, the heating, recoater and pyrometer, and the tightness of the build chamber. When a P 390 is offered, clarify whether it is an upgraded P 380. The site needs 400 V at 3 × 32 A, compressed air and extraction; ask service companies about spare parts for controls and laser beforehand.
