EOS FORMIGA P 100 — Technical data
EOS launched the FORMIGA P 100 in 2006 as a compact laser sintering system for plastics. With a 200 × 250 × 330 mm build volume, a 30 W CO₂ laser and layers of typically 0.1 mm, it is designed for small, detailed polyamide parts such as prototypes, small series and functional parts; according to the data sheet it also processes polystyrene. It runs on 16 A, weighs about 600 kg and builds up to 24 mm of height per hour. The FORMIGA P 110 followed in 2012 as a revised version; EOS has since discontinued the entire FORMIGA platform but continues to support the installed base.
Used, the P 100 is an affordable entry into laser sintering if build volume and build rate are sufficient. Check laser hours and laser output, the condition of heaters, recoater and pyrometer, the tightness of the build chamber and whether the mixing station and unpacking station are included. Plastic powder is combustible, so clarify extraction and earthing at the site in advance. Ask EOS or a service partner about spare parts and service.
