EOS EOSINT P 700 — Technical data

EOS launched the EOSINT P 700 in 2000 as the first plastic laser sintering system with two lasers. Two 50 W CO₂ lasers share the large 700 × 380 × 580 mm build volume and scan at up to 5 m/s; depending on the material the machine builds 10 to 25 mm of height per hour in layers of about 0.1 to 0.15 mm. This made it possible to sinter large parts such as centre consoles or tanks in one piece. It processed polyamide as well as polystyrene for investment casting patterns. Its further development is the EOSINT P 730, on which the high-temperature P 800 was later based.

A used P 700 is rare today and mainly of interest to users looking for large build volume at low cost who can handle older technology. The rating plate and documentation show whether the machine has been upgraded. Check both laser tubes, scanners, heating and recoater, the exchangeable frames, and the chiller and nitrogen supply. Plan transport and installation for around 2.3 t. Ask service companies that support older EOSINT systems about spare parts and control software in advance.
