EOS FORMIGA P 110 — Technical data

The FORMIGA P 110 was launched in 2012 as a revised version of the FORMIGA P 100 and, until the Velocis version, was EOS's compact plastic laser sintering system. A 30 W CO₂ laser with an f-theta lens exposes a 200 × 250 × 330 mm build volume; depending on the powder it works with layers of 0.06, 0.10 or 0.12 mm and builds up to 20 mm of height per hour. According to the 2013 data sheet a 16 A connection is sufficient, typical consumption is 1.4 kW, and nitrogen comes from a built-in generator. Its successor is the FORMIGA P 110 Velocis.

Used FORMIGA P 110 machines are common, as many service bureaus, dental labs and universities started laser sintering with one. First check the rating plate to see whether it is an early P 110 or a Velocis. Then look at laser hours and measured laser output, heaters, pyrometer and recoater blade, and the exchangeable frames and build chamber seals. A mixing station and an unpacking and sieving station add considerable value. As EOS has discontinued the FORMIGA platform, clarify spare parts and service with EOS or an independent service partner in advance.
