EOS IPCM-M — Technical data

IPCM-M is the modular powder handling that EOS offered as an option for the EOSINT M 280. It consists of several units: a sieving module removes agglomerates and coarse particles from used metal powder, with a vibratory sieve, ultrasonic deblinding and a standard mesh size of 63 µm. A compressed-air-driven conveying module transports the powder in steps, and a refill module returns the sieved powder in a protected way to the dispenser duct of the process chamber. Powder therefore has to be transferred openly less often, which reduces contamination and dust exposure. Today EOS offers a comparable solution with IPCM M extra.

A used IPCM-M usually comes as part of a package with an M 280. Check the sieve mesh and the ultrasonic generator, hoses, couplings and seals, and which materials have been run through it, as switching materials risks cross-contamination. For reactive powders such as titanium or aluminium, earthing, inerting and a wet separator vacuum belong to the equipment.
