EOS EOSINT P 800 — Technical data
The EOSINT P 800 is the high-temperature system EOS introduced in 2008 for laser sintering high-performance polymers of the PAEK family. It is based on the EOSINT P 730 but heavily insulated and reaches process temperatures of up to 385 °C. This allows it to process EOS PEEK HP3, a material for parts exposed to high temperatures and chemicals. Two 50 W CO₂ lasers expose a 700 × 380 × 560 mm build volume in layers of typically 0.12 mm; a powder conveying system and an unpacking station belong to the system. Its successor is the EOS P 810.
When buying a used P 800, the high-temperature hardware is the most important checkpoint: heaters, insulation, temperature measurement and seals are under heavy stress. Add to that the hours of both lasers, the condition of scanners and recoater, the exchangeable frames, and the powder conveying system and unpacking station. At around 2.3 t, with a 32 A connection and a recommended installation space of 4.8 × 4.8 m, installation is demanding. Existing powder stock, parameter sets and the previous owner's experience with the material add value.
