SLS, Selective Laser Sintering, is a powder bed process for polymers. A recoater spreads a thin layer of polymer powder that is preheated in the build chamber to just below its melting point; a CO2 or fiber laser then adds the remaining energy to fuse the cross-section of the current layer, after which the platform lowers. The surrounding powder supports the part, so no support structures are needed and the build volume can be nested in three dimensions. PA 12 is the standard material, joined by PA 11, glass- or carbon-filled nylon, TPU and PP, and on high-temperature machines PA 6 and PEKK. Parts are mechanically robust and close to series quality, but they have a slightly grainy surface and must be depowdered and usually bead-blasted or dyed.
The catalog covers the EOS lines FORMIGA P 100 and P 110, P 396, P 500, P 770 and P 810 as well as the older EOSINT P 380 to P 800, the 3D Systems Sinterstation, sPro 60/140/230, ProX SLS 500/6100 and SLS 300/380, Farsoon polymer machines from the HT/SS/ST 252P to the HT1001P including the Flight series, Formlabs Fuse 1, Fuse 1+ 30W and Fuse X1, Sinterit Lisa, Lisa PRO, Lisa X and NILS 480, plus the Raise3D RMS220. Popular on the used market are the FORMIGA P 100 and P 110, P 396, sPro 60 and Fuse 1.
Key points for a used SLS machine are laser hours and laser type (CO2 lasers age, fiber lasers less so), the condition of heater elements, pyrometer, recoater and chamber window, and a leak-free nitrogen supply. Powder handling is ATEX-relevant, so a sieving station, vacuum and blending station should come with the machine. Also clarify material lock-in (open or qualified powder only), software licenses for build preparation and process control, and utility requirements for power, nitrogen and compressed air. Below you will find the technical data of all 84 SLS models in our catalog, together with those currently offered second-hand.
