Formlabs Fuse X1 — Technical data
The Fuse X1 is an announced industrial SLS system from Formlabs and considerably larger than the Fuse 1+ 30W. A 120 W fibre laser sinters in a 330 × 330 × 565 mm (61.5 l) build volume at 110 µm layer thickness; printing takes place under nitrogen. Planned materials are Nylon 12, Nylon 11, Nylon 12 GF and TPU 90A, plus third-party powders via Open Material Mode. The system weighs 570 kg and needs a single-phase 208–240 V, 50 A connection. According to Formlabs it is to be available by the end of 2026 or by June 2027; the Fuse Sift X1 is intended as its powder station.
Used Fuse X1 units will only appear after market launch. Anyone buying one later should first clarify installation site, power supply and nitrogen supply; Formlabs recommends a footprint of 261 × 243 cm. Then laser hours, the condition of heating, thermal camera and filters, the number of build chambers as well as Fuse Sift X1 and powder transport matter. With such a young model the remaining warranty is relevant, and the transfer from the Dashboard account has to be arranged.
