MoldJet Paste mold printing (metal/ceramic): 2 models

MoldJet is a process developed by Tritone for metal and ceramic parts that combines material jetting and paste deposition. Print heads build a negative mold from a wax polymer layer by layer, and the cavities of each layer are then filled and leveled with a metal or ceramic paste. After printing, the mold is removed and the green part is debound and sintered. Because neither loose powder nor a laser is involved, no shielding gas or ATEX measures are needed in the print room, and the printed mold allows smooth surfaces and internal channels. Materials include stainless and tool steels, titanium, copper and ceramics. The process targets series production of small to medium parts and is still rare in the field.

The catalog lists the Tritone Dominant, a production system working on several trays in parallel, and the more compact Tritone Dim. Second-hand offers are uncommon because the installed base is young.

When buying used, inspect the print heads and paste deposition unit, the condition of the trays, the availability and manufacturer lock-in of wax polymer and pastes, software licenses, and the associated debinding and sintering process including the furnace. Service and spare parts for a young manufacturer depend heavily on its presence in your region. Below you will find the technical data of both MoldJet models in our catalog, together with those currently offered second-hand.
