Tritone Dim System — Technical data
The Dim System is the smaller MoldJet machine from manufacturer Tritone, listed by Stratasys as a partner product. MoldJet works without loose powder, using a paste based on standard MIM powders; the printer produces green parts in metal or ceramic. Four trays of 220 × 120 × 90 mm each run simultaneously and independently, 10,000 cm³ in total, with 25–150 µm layers and up to 600 cm³/h. The Dim is aimed at development, material qualification and small to medium batches; its larger sibling is the Dominant System.
Used MoldJet systems are still rare, so careful checks pay off. As in MIM, green parts must be debound and sintered – without suitable furnaces and process parameters the printer alone is not productive. Also clarify service access through Tritone, availability of pastes, the software version of the AI quality inspection and the utility requirements, which are not published. With a footprint of just over 2 × 2 m, the Dim is relatively compact.
