WASP 4070 Industrial X — Technical data

The Delta WASP 4070 Industrial X arrived in 2020 as the successor to the 4070 Industrial 4.0, keeping the Ø 400 × 700 mm build volume, a weight of around 90 kg and a height of almost two metres. The core of the revision was a two-extruder system: ZEN for high-temperature filaments up to 350 °C and FLEX for soft materials down to Shore 50A, both with hardened dual gears. A chamber heated to 70 °C, auto-calibration, camera, Wi-Fi and an emergency stop were added. At the end of 2021 WASP split the concept into the individual 4070 ZX, FX, TX and HDP models, each with one specialised extruder.

As the Industrial X has two very different heads, both should be demonstrated separately when buying used: a rigid material through ZEN and TPU through FLEX with 2.85 mm filament. Clicking or slipping at the feeder indicates worn gears. Check whether the chamber holds its temperature and the door sensors respond. Dealer lists that even include PEEK should be read with caution; the test print is what counts. Spare parts for ZEN cartridges should be confirmed with WASP in advance, as the model is no longer built.
