WASP 2040 Industrial X — Technical data
The Delta WASP 2040 Industrial X replaced the 2040 Industrial 4.0 around 2020 and kept the familiar build volume of Ø 200 × 400 mm. The main novelty was the Zen X head with two nozzles and dual-gear feed, which allows two-colour and two-material printing as standard, for example with water-soluble PVA support. According to the dealer, the chamber is actively heated to 70 °C; WASP quoted up to 300 mm/s and layers from 0.05 mm. Steel-reinforced belts, auto-calibration, Wi-Fi, camera and touchscreen completed the package. No direct successor with a heated chamber in this size is documented; WASP currently offers only the PRO and Clay in the 2040 format.
When buying a used Industrial X, have both nozzles print separately and then produce a part with support material, so that height matching and nozzle changeover become visible. The dual gear shows wear as flattened teeth, especially after carbon-fibre materials. Chamber heating to 70 °C, door seal and insulation should run without error messages. Ask about the firmware version and whether Wi-Fi control still connects. As the model has been discontinued, it is worth taking spare nozzles and a second gear set.
