Stratasys Objet500 Connex2 — Technical data

The Objet500 Connex2 combines the large 490 × 390 × 200 mm build plate with Digital Materials. Stratasys introduced it in September 2014 together with the Connex1: it inherits three materials per run and the eight-cartridge material cabinet but additionally blends two base resins into new materials – more than 100 options according to the manufacturer, including Digital ABS and rubber parts with different Shore A values in one component. Colour blending only comes with the Connex3. The Objet500 Connex2 is therefore the machine for larger functional prototypes, overmould samples and Digital ABS tool inserts where colour does not matter. Compared with the Objet350 Connex2, larger parts or more parts per job fit on the plate. Sold until the end of 2021.

Used, the unlocked Digital Material modes, print-head hours and a recent nozzle test should be documented. Pumps, waste system and material cabinet also matter. Stratasys still offers service contracts; plan for transport and climate control for a machine of about 430 kg.
