Stratasys Objet30 V2 — Technical data

The Objet30 V2 is the base version of the Objet desktop printer that Objet launched in December 2010 together with the Objet24. It shares the housing, 28 µm layers, two print heads and 93 kg weight with the Objet24, but its 294 × 192 × 148.6 mm build area is 60 mm wider. According to the data sheet it processes five model materials: four rigid Vero colours and polypropylene-like DurusWhite, which suits snap fits and hinges. Transparent and heat-resistant resins only came with the Objet30 Pro. For design offices needing coloured presentation models and simple functional samples, it was the middle option of the range.

Sales ended in 2016; service contracts are no longer available, but material is. When buying used, ask to see the material licences, as some units were later extended to the Pro scope. Also check print-head condition, the UV lamp and a test print in DurusWhite, which reacts more sensitively to head problems than Vero.
