Stratasys Objet30 Scholar — Technical data

The Objet30 Scholar was an education package based on the Objet30, launched by Objet in November 2012 for schools, universities and institutes. The printer came with a desktop water-jet station, training, maintenance and a two- to three-year supply of material delivered on demand. According to trade press it prints only one rigid blue model material (RGD240); the platform itself matches the Objet30 V2 at 294 × 192 × 148.6 mm. The Scholar therefore differs from the base Objet30 and the Pro mainly in its single-material restriction and the service bundle, not in its mechanics. For teaching and simple presentation models it is adequate.

Sales ended in 2016 and Stratasys no longer issues service contracts. Anyone taking over a used Scholar should clarify whether further materials can be unlocked or whether the unit stays limited to RGD240, and whether the water-jet station is included. As with every Objet30, check print heads, UV lamp and control PC.
