Stratasys Objet30 OrthoDesk — Technical data
The Objet30 OrthoDesk is the orthodontic version of the Objet30 platform, introduced by Stratasys in March 2013 for practices and small labs. Instead of sending planning models to a lab, orthodontists print them in-house. The tray measures 300 × 200 × 100 mm, lower than on the Objet30 Pro and Prime, but wide enough for several arch models side by side. It prints 28 µm layers in a single dental material, VeroDentPlus. Compared with the later Objet30 Dental Prime it lacks 16 µm resolution and biocompatible materials for surgical guides; for study and aligner models the OrthoDesk is sufficient. It was built in V2 and V3 generations.
Before buying, establish the generation: Stratasys no longer offers service contracts for the V2 (sales ended 2016) but does for the V3 (sold until 2020). Since the machine is designed around one material, check the stock and shelf life of VeroDentPlus, as well as print heads, UV lamp and water-jet station.
