Stratasys Objet260 Connex3 — Technical data

The Objet260 Connex3 is the colour version of the compact multi-material printer and, according to Stratasys, small enough for office use. It blends three base materials at once, including the colour resins VeroCyan, VeroMagenta and VeroYellow, and can combine colour, transparency and hardness in one part; according to a reseller, up to 82 material properties per part. This distinguishes it from the Connex1 (no blends) and Connex2 (blends without colour). The 255 × 252 × 200 mm build volume matches its siblings, with layers of 16 or 30 µm. Typical uses are coloured design samples, packaging and product models and medical demonstration models. Anyone needing large parts or several models per job should rather choose an Objet350 or Objet500 Connex3. It was sold until the end of 2021.

With a used Connex3, the condition of every colour channel is decisive: a colour test print reveals clogged nozzles immediately. Add to that print-head history, UV lamps, material cabinet and water-jet station. Service contracts are still available; plan for transporting and installing just over 400 kg.

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
