Stratasys Objet260 Connex2 — Technical data

The Objet260 Connex2 is the middle tier of the compact 2014 Objet260 range. It does everything the Connex1 does but additionally blends two base materials droplet by droplet into so-called Digital Materials. According to Stratasys this gives more than 100 options, including tough Digital ABS for mould inserts and rubber parts in several Shore A hardnesses; according to a reseller, one part can combine up to 27 material properties. Colour mixing via cyan, magenta and yellow is reserved for the Connex3. Build volume (255 × 252 × 200 mm), housing and material cabinet match its siblings. The Connex2 suits developers who want to test feel and hardness gradients but do not need colour samples. Sold until the end of 2021.

When buying a used Connex2, check which Digital Material packages are unlocked and whether Digital ABS can be printed with the existing setup. Service contracts are still available. Print-head hours, UV lamps, condition of the material lines and a nozzle test belong in every inspection.
