Stratasys J850 Core — Technical data

The J850 Core is the entry model of the large-format J8 series. It shares the 490 × 390 × 200 mm build volume and the accuracy of the J850 Pro and Prime, but processes only up to three base resins at once and does without full colour. Two modes are available: High Quality at 14 µm and High Speed at 27 µm. Stratasys lists ToughONE, VeroUltra, VeroUltra Clear, Agilus30 and digital materials blended from them; support is SUP705B. The machine is intended for engineering departments printing rigid, flexible and transparent prototypes without colour requirements.

With a used J850, first establish which version it actually is, as Core, Pro and Prime have the same dimensions. Key points are print head hours, service history, the condition of UV lamps and material cabinet, and a room that reliably stays at 18–25 °C. Printer and material cabinet together weigh just under 600 kg, and the supply is single-phase. Whether and on what terms a later upgrade is possible should be asked directly at Stratasys.
