Stratasys J826 — Technical data
The J826 is the most compact printer of the J8 series and brought the series' full-colour multi-material technology to a smaller format. It prints parts up to 255 × 252 × 200 mm and can run up to seven base resins at once, including Vero colours, clear and rubber-like materials. The finest layer is 14 µm; it lacks the 55 µm fast mode of the larger J835 and J850. Typical users are design departments and agencies that need colourful, realistic prototypes. Stratasys now only lists the J826 Prime; the variant without suffix is being phased out.
With a used J826, print head condition and hours account for a large part of the value, since a set of heads is expensive. UV lamps, the wiper and waste system and documented maintenance also count. As the difference to the Prime version may lie in material and mode coverage, check which resins the firmware allows and whether today's materials will run. At 234 kg and just over 1.3 m wide, the unit fits office environments but needs the separate material cabinet.
