Stratasys J720 Dental — Technical data
The J720 Dental brings the full-colour, multi-material technology of the J750 into the dental lab; Stratasys showed it in February 2019 at LMT Lab Day. It jets three or six materials in HS, HM and HQ modes, with layers from 14 µm on a 490 × 390 × 200 mm tray. That lets it produce colour patient models, surgical guides and bonding trays in biocompatible resins, casting patterns and try-ins, including several patient cases in one job. Compared with the J700 Dental, which runs a single aligner material in fast mode, it is the more versatile machine but is not designed for pure aligner throughput. Stratasys discontinued it in mid-2023.
When buying used, first confirm that it really is a J720, as it looks the same as the J700 from the outside. Then check print-head hours, UV lamps, wiper and waste system. For biocompatible applications, maintenance records and a stock of certified resins within their shelf life should be available. Plan for 430 kg plus the material cabinet; Stratasys still offers service contracts.
