Stratasys J700 Dental — Technical data
The J700 Dental is a PolyJet printer for series production of models used to make clear aligners. Stratasys unveiled it in March 2017 at IDS in Cologne. Unlike the J720 Dental, it processes only one material, VeroDent or VeroDentPlus, and has only the fast Super High Speed mode with 55 µm layers. The 490 × 390 mm tray holds many arch models per job; at launch the trade press cited more than 400 moulds per day. If you need colour, biocompatible surgical guides or casting patterns, the J720 is the right choice; if you produce large numbers of similar aligner models, the J700. It has been discontinued since mid-2023.
With a used J700, print-head hours and run time matter, since a machine built for series production may have accumulated many hours. Also check the UV lamps, wiper and waste system as well as the stock and shelf life of the dental resins. The printer weighs 430 kg, the material cabinet another 152 kg. Stratasys says service contracts are still available, and support continues for at least seven years after end of sale.
