Stratasys J55 Prime — Technical data

The J55 Prime is an office-friendly PolyJet printer for full-colour and multi-material models such as design samples and realistic prototypes. It prints on a round 1,174 cm² tray up to 190 mm high, with layers from 18.75 µm and up to five materials at once. Options include Pantone-validated VeroVivid colours, transparent VeroUltra Clear, flexible Elastico and Agilus grades, ToughONE and Digital ABS Plus; textures such as wood or fabric can be printed directly. The ProAero air filter allows operation in an office. The J35 Pro is its simpler sibling, while the J8 series offers larger build volumes.

When buying second-hand, look at the condition of the print heads, the print hours logged and the service records. Full-colour prints clearly reveal failed nozzles, so a test print with colour gradients should be part of the acceptance. Further points are the air purifier filters, the expiry dates of opened cartridges and whether service and software can be transferred. At 228 kg with a single-phase supply, installation is straightforward.
