Stratasys Eden500V — Technical data
The Eden500V is the largest single-material PolyJet printer of the Eden range and was introduced by Objet in early 2006. According to trade press, the tray measures 500 × 400 × 200 mm, about 60 percent more area than the Eden350V tray, allowing large housing models or many parts in one run. It prints either 16 µm layers for fine surfaces or 30 µm for faster jobs; four large cartridges allow long runs without refilling. Stratasys lists transparent resins, Rigur, Durus and the Tango and Vero families. Unlike the Connex500 with a similar build volume, the Eden500V processes only one model material per job. It is the right choice when plate size matters more than blended materials. Sold until the end of 2016.
As an older large machine without service contracts on offer, the Eden500V requires in-house know-how or an independent technician. Check the print-head set, UV lamps, material feed, waste system and a full-plate test print. Ask the seller for dimensions and weight before planning transport.
