Stratasys Connex260 — Technical data
The Connex260 is a first-generation Connex multi-material printer dating from the Objet era. With a 255 × 252 × 200 mm build volume it matches the later Objet260 Connex in size. It prints several base materials at once and blends them into materials with graded hardness or colour – useful for prototypes with soft-hard combinations, overmoulded parts or tooling inserts. Stratasys lists transparent resins, Digital ABS Plus, Rigur and Durus, and the Tango and Vero families. Sales ended in mid-2016.
Stratasys no longer offers service contracts for the Connex260, though material remains available. A used unit therefore makes most sense where in-house know-how or an independent service partner is available. Before buying, check a test print with all loaded materials, nozzle tests of the print heads and the condition of the UV lamps. Whether the control PC and Objet software still run is part of the check too.
