HSS High Speed Sintering: 1 models
HSS, High Speed Sintering, is a polymer powder bed process in which an inkjet head prints an infrared-absorbing ink onto the part areas of a polyamide layer, after which an infrared lamp sweeps the entire surface; only the printed regions absorb enough energy to fuse. The process was developed in British university research and commercialized by voxeljet in the VX200 HSS; it shares the basic idea of replacing the laser by area-wide exposure with HP Multi Jet Fusion and Stratasys SAF. Materials are PA 12 as well as TPU and other polymers on an open material platform; parts resemble SLS parts in strength and surface finish. The strength of the process lies in the open material and parameter platform that voxeljet designed specifically for research and material development.
The voxeljet VX200 HSS is the only model of this process in our catalog. Second-hand offers are rare, and interested buyers come mainly from research and material development.
When buying used, check the print head (a wear item), lamp hours and heaters, the condition of recoater and build box, the powder peripherals including ATEX vacuum and sieve, the availability of ink and powder, software licenses for open parameter control, and the utilities for power, nitrogen and compressed air. Below you will find the technical data of the HSS model in our catalog and whether it is currently offered second-hand.
