German RepRap X500 — Technical data

The X500 was German RepRap's larger, enclosed industrial machine and was last listed as the x500pro. It offers a 500 × 400 × 450 mm build volume in a chamber heated to 80 °C, a bed reaching 120 °C and the liquid-cooled DD4 dual extruder, whose nozzles reach 400 °C. This allows polycarbonate and polyamide as well as PLA and ABS to be printed with little warpage. Automatic levelling, filament monitoring, a webcam and a 7-inch touchscreen are included; slicing is done with Simplify3D. After the 2021 renaming, the machine continued under the innovatiQ brand.

With a used X500, spare parts are the central question, as innovatiQ ceased operations in 2026 and service and parts now come from Schichtarbeit 3D. Above all, the water-cooled DD4 head with pump, hoses and coolant should be leak-free and maintained. Check chamber heating, bed heating and the levelling sensor during a test run, and ask about print hours and nozzle changes. The machine weighs around 185 kg and needs a fixed location at a room temperature of 15 to 26 °C. A valid Simplify3D licence should be transferred.
