Essentium HSE 240 HT — Technical data
The HSE 240 HT is Essentium's compact high-temperature printer, presented at formnext 2021. One carriage carries two extruders, so a part and its soluble support can be printed in a single job. The build volume is 430 × 350 × 375 mm; the chamber is convection-heated to 185 °C and the build plate to 190 °C. Essentium quotes 400 mm/s and 125 g/h throughput, and the trade press gives 550 °C for the nozzle. At 450 kg and 830 mm deep, the machine fits through ordinary doorways and runs on a single-phase 16 A circuit.
Used, the 240 HT mainly appeals to businesses wanting to print high-performance plastics without a large system. Check the chamber heating and insulation, the seal of the vacuum table and the magnetic plates. During a test print, the automatic spool switching between the filament drawers should change over at least once. Since Nexa3D, which bought Essentium, ceased operations at the end of 2024, there has been no manufacturer service, so spare nozzles, plates and a working monitoring camera should be included. Also ask about print hours and the material profiles Essentium had approved.
