DyeMansion Powershot C — Technical data
The Powershot C is DyeMansion's automatic blasting system for depowdering polymer parts from SLS, MJF and SAF. Parts sit in a rotating basket with 26 litres of usable volume, two nozzles blast them with glass beads, and a cyclone continuously separates the media from the powder. In this way roughly a complete build job from an HP Jet Fusion 4200/5200 can typically be cleaned in three to ten minutes. The system measures about 1.7 × 1.3 × 2.0 m, weighs 480 kg and requires 400 V plus plenty of compressed air, 2.0 m³/min at 6 bar according to the current data sheet. Since 2024 the Powershot X has been available as a new generation.
The Powershot C is widely used, so parts and practical experience are easy to come by. Check blasting nozzles, hoses and basket lining for wear, as well as cyclone, filter cartridges and door seals. Ask about operating hours, filter changes and the condition of the blasting media. Older units, sometimes labelled 2.0, have different compressed air figures, so size your compressor accordingly. Extraction for polymer dust and an introduction by DyeMansion are advisable.
