BigRep PRO — Technical data

The BigRep PRO is BigRep's industrial large-format printer with a fully enclosed, insulated metal frame. In dual mode it prints 915 × 805 × 874 mm, with a single extruder 1,020 × 970 × 985 mm according to the brochure. Two fibre-ready ACE extruders with 0.6 or 1.0 mm nozzles, a heated bed up to 100 °C with magnetic SWITCHPLATE and a sealed filament chamber target fixtures, tools, moulds and end-use parts in engineering and fibre-filled plastics such as PA12 CF. The motion control comes from a cooperation with Bosch Rexroth. The first generation came in 2018 with MXT extruders, the second in 2021 with ACE extruders and automatic calibration; the PRO remains in the range.

When buying used, first clarify the generation, because extruders, print bed and software differ between 2018 and later machines. Depending on the source the machine weighs 1.5 to over 2 tonnes and needs a three-phase 400 V supply and a floor with sufficient load capacity. Check extruder wear from fibre materials, the condition of the filament chamber and drying cartridges, service records, and whether CONNECT access and service contract can be transferred.
